I can’t remember the last time that I turned on the radio and spent 30 mins without coming across a song from Imagine Dragons.
It is either “Radioactive” or “Demons” that is playing somewhere. Either the original versions or renditions by other artists.
The four piece Las Vegas based group have kept up their reputation as one of the best new talents in the music industry, and that was apparent during their performance at the new renovated Inglewood venue on Valentine’s Day.
“It has been a wild last year”, reflected frontman Dan Reynolds. The band won its very first Grammy on Jan 26 of this year, besting pioneers like David Bowie and rock gods Led Zeppelin. After the victory, the band fired up the stage with an electrifying performance of their hit single, “Radioactive”, a song has remained on the top of the Billboard 100 Hot charts for an astonishing and intimidating 75 weeks.
Though they have been around for almost 5 years now, it was only because of their latest album “Night Visions”, that the band has come into prominence and have made their ascent to the top. The band has already scored the soundtrack “Who We Are” for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
I, for one, personally want to see where this band goes in the future, and certainly have high aspirations for them.
For now, they are the Dragons, soaring high.
