Iron Man 3:
The third installment of the Iron Man series saw Robert Downey Jr. reprise the role of the genius, billionaire, philanthropist and playboy Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man. After the huge success of the Iron Man and Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3 had a reputation to live up to; and it did so brilliantly by grossing 1.2 billionaires at the box office. Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle reprised their roles as Virginia ‘Pepper’ Pots and Cl. James Rhodes. Ben Kingsley plays the antagonist Mandarin who heads a terrorist organization. The film boasts of headiest of action sequences combining with superior graphics that keeps the viewer glued on. Robert Downey’s acting is flawless as Tony Stark and brings out all the nuances of the character alive on screen. In short, the best action movie of the year.The movie has been directed by Shane Black and IMDB has rated this movie 7.4/10.
Despicable Me 2:
The sequel to Descpicable Me raked up 918.5 millions at the box office, directed by Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud. Written by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, this animated 3D comedy film is the first time Illumination Entertainment made a sequel film.In this storyline Gru is recruited by an Anti-Villain League to fight against a new super criminal. With a 7.6/10 rating provided by IMDB this movie is surely an entertainer. Steve Carell, Miranda Cosgrove and Russell Brand reprise their roles as Gru, Margo and Dr. Nefario respectively. The film first premiered on June 5th,2013 in Australia and was followed by a theatrical release in the US on July 3rd,2013.
The film received mostly positive reviews from critics. Even a prequel/spin off called ‘Minions’ is set to released on July 10th,2015.
The Fast and The Furious 6:
The sixth installment of the Fast and the Furious series grossed a little over 788millions. Written by Chris Morgan and directed by Justin Lin, this movie sees Dom, Brian and their crew team up with Hobbs to bring down the terrorist Shaw. Racing scenes have been shot beautifully, and the action sequences carry a greater punch. The film has been shot in the Canary Islands, Glassgow and Los Angeles. A sequel began filming in September 2013. But with the untimely death of Paul Walker(who played Brian O’Conner), the production has been put on hold as of now, with the release date being pushed back to 10th April,2015.
