Next Indian Prime Minister?

Bollywood superstars being roped in to promote political parties just prior to elections has been a common picture to all in Indian politics . As the fight for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections gets tougher with BJP and Congress not leaving a single inch of ground to the other with the arrival of a new entrant AAP recently in the picture, parties are now coming up with eye catching moves to attract the attention of the common people. After much speculation about his political connection with Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav, Bollywood star Salman Khan recently was invited for lunch by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi

About an hour before Salman’s arrival, the Gujarat CM announced in his twitter account about the coming-up visit of the Bollywood heartthrob at his home for lunch saying that he is going to be his guest on the occasion of Uttarayan. The next status came up with the political heavyweight announcing his enjoyment at the company of the superstar which was followed by a picture where both of them seemed to be in a cheerful mood. And it didn’t end here as the next tweet came up about Gujarati delicacy Undhiyu being shared between him and Salman.

This meet came up on the backdrop of AAP rising star Arvind Kejriwal having lunch with renowned writer Chetan Bhagat and Salman performing in the Saifai Mahotsav oganised by the Akhilesh Yadav-led UP government a few days ago as it raised a lot of controversy regarding the grand event being taken up when the victims of Muzaffarnagar riots continue to suffer at relief camps. Addressing the media after lunch, Salman said that each state needs a Prime Minister as loved as Modi. Now, the next one remains to be seen whom both the parties would try to have in their fray.
