Best smartphone: iPhone 6 and 6 plus

iphone 6 and 6 plus

Apple’s new smartphones iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are the most elegant, thoughtfully designed and powerful smartphones in the market. Both the smartphones sport the same essential design, but 4.7-inch version is more comfortable to hold and is less prone to being dropped. Both the models are just amazing and battery life is just solid. The Camera and the processor hold their own against other flagships. The Operating system iOS 8 improves the user experience, and highly coveted features like third party keyboard is added. The design includes ion-strengthened glass to protect the screen. The iPhone 6 has enhanced its camera specs, which features an 8MP sensor, latest focusing system and slow motion video at 240 frames per seconds. The bigger display on the iPhone 6 Plus gives plenty of room for multitasking. Both the iPhones are the best smartphones, but iPhone 6 is preferred out of two phones as the over sized iPhone 6 Plus is unwieldy and ultimately unsatisfying. Even though its capabilities are enormous with 1920 x 1080 Retina HD display and improved camera, it’s bulky to carry and doesn’t feel good in your hand. Even with the large screen, new iPhones remains comfortable to hold. With its fast performance, an elegant new design, a great display and a much needed software update, it remains the best smartphone of 2014.

The new Apple’s iPad Air 2 is best as it is  leaner, faster and meaner than all its predecessors and android tablets. The iPad Air 2 is a decent improvement upon last year’s iPad Air in all the ways with a better camera and faster Wi-Fi and LTE (if you are using a cellular version), and you can use thumbprint to login instead of a PIN. The screen resolution of iPad Air’s is 2048 x 1536 at 264 ppi – same as last year. A new anti reflective finish is added to the top of the glass. The A8X processor is faster than last year’s A7.
